\n\tThe partnership uses the experience and technology of the two companies to provide a truly digital thread, which will help companies eliminate the silos of processes and information, use digitization and provide a comprehensive solution for the 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).<\/p>\n

\tSiemens and SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced a new partnership based on their industry experience that will bring together their complementary software solutions for the product lifecycle, supply chain and asset management, so that their customers can provide collaborative business models and innovations that will accelerate industry transformation globally.<\/p>\n

\tThrough this agreement, SAP and Siemens will be able to complement and integrate their respective solutions to offer customers the first truly integrated and enhanced solutions for product lifecycle management (PLM), supply chain, asset and service management. With this, customers will be able to form a truly digital thread, which will integrate all virtual models and simulations of a product or asset with real-time business information, feedback and performance data throughout the life cycle.<\/p>\n

\t"The digital transformation will be fundamental for the manufacturing industries to increase productivity, flexibility and accelerate innovations; therefore, companies must come together in new ways to make the digital company viable," said Klaus Helmrich, member of the Board of Directors of Siemens AG and CEO of Siemens Digital Industries: "This fantastic collaboration between two industry leaders means more than just interoperability and interfaces, as it creates a truly integrated digital thread that unites product and asset lifecycle management with company, allowing customers to optimize product manufacturing. \tThe silos between engineering and business have existed for decades in companies. This new partnership will help customers break down these silos so that manufacturers, product design teams and service managers have the information they need to quickly create and manage customer-centric product and service offerings.<\/p>\n

\t"As manufacturers design and deliver smarter products and assets, access to business information in real time through networks is critical to bringing even better innovations to market faster," said Thomas Saueressig, a member of the Executive Board of SAP SE is responsible for SAP product engineering. "Bringing together the experience of SAP and Siemens to offer business processes that promote Industry 4.0 allows companies to create a digital thread for the entire product and asset lifecycle. With this end-to-end solution, network teams companies can work together efficiently to design and deliver innovative products in a productive, profitable and sustainable way. "<\/p>\n

\tIn the future, SAP and Siemens will be able to offer new solutions that combine their technologies to help companies accelerate the start of product commercialization, using data enabled for Industry 4.0 of smart assets and products. This will also provide organizations with the benefit of incorporating customer insights into product development through a comprehensive solution, from design to service and asset management. In this first stage of the partnership, SAP will offer Siemens Teamcenter \u00ae software as the basis for product life cycle and product data management and Siemens will offer SAP\u00ae Intelligent Asset Management solutions and SAP Project and Portfolio Management to maximize business value for manufacturers and operators across the network. Companies will collaborate on application development from an end-to-end lifecycle perspective to help customers form a continuous digital thread that optimizes overall business performance.<\/p>\n
