\tTHE ABES ACADEMY<\/strong> opened the fourth class of the course GENERAL DATA PROTECTION LAW: BASICS AND IMPLEMENTATION<\/strong><\/a>, on data protection, privacy and information security in Brazil, to be held in 8 classes lasting 3 hours each, from 9\/14 to 9\/17 and from 9\/21 to 9\/24, with a total workload of 24 hours.<\/p>\n

\tThe broad program of the activity includes the following themes: fundamentals of privacy and protection of personal data; objectives of the LGPD; foundation of Data Protection; holders' rights; detailing consent and legitimate interest; treatment of Sensitive Personal Data; Data Processing Agents - Controller and Operator; the role of the Data Protection Officer (\u201cDPO\u201d) and his functions; Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default; the adoption of information security practices as a business strategy, a requirement for data protection; ps objectives and the content of a security policy; importance of a vulnerability management program, among other points.<\/p>\n

\tSeveral changes are necessary in organizations, of all sizes and sectors, to promote the process of adaptation to LGPD, with the creation of a new organizational culture focused on privacy and data protection. The law provides for different administrative sanctions due to the infractions committed to the rules provided for in the Law, such as a fine that can reach up to R$ 50,000,000.00 for infraction, warning, publication of the infraction; blocking of the personal data referred to in the offense until it is settled; elimination of the personal data referred to in the violation or even the total or partial prohibition of activities related to data processing, especially in the event of information leakage (whether due to technical failure, human action or hacker attack).
