\n\tMeasure is granted for up to six months to 28, 5 thousand companies<\/p>\n

\tThe National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) reported that it reached R$ 12 billion in the approval of temporary suspensions of payment of installments of loans contracted with the institution. The measure, known in the market as standstill, is being granted for a period of up to six months to more than 28.5 thousand companies, in approximately 77,700 financing contracts, in the direct and indirect modalities. It is estimated that customers benefiting from the measure employ more than 2.5 million people.<\/p>\n

\t"In direct and indirect non-automatic operations, for which the BNDES ended the standstill order protocol on June 30, the sector most benefited from the suspension of payments was infrastructure, with R$ 6.9 billion, followed by industry , with R$ 1.2 billion\u201d, says the note from the development bank.<\/p>\n

\tThe Southeast region received 39.9% of the benefit to companies that contracted directly with the bank, while the North was the most benefited in indirect non-automatic contracts, with 61.3% of the standstill values approved for this modality in this region.<\/p>\n

\tBNDES informed that it is still receiving requests for suspension of payments in the automatic indirect modality. Requests must be sent to the financial agent that granted the financing.<\/p>\n

\tFighting the crisis<\/strong><\/p>\n

\tThe bank stated that more than R$ 22 billion have already been released in emergency actions to combat the effects of the covid-19 pandemic. Among the results of the measures adopted are the R$ 5.6 billion approved for loans to more than 16 thousand micro, small and medium-sized companies in the working capital line and the R$ 4.6 billion approved for payroll loans, for which it is estimated that almost 2 million employees have benefited.<\/p>\n
