The amount was foreseen in the initial plan to fight the new coronavirus, presented by the development bank in March, at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\tAccording to the BNDES, 16,318 operations with 15,094 companies have already been approved, employing 372,800 people, with an average value of R$ 318 thousand per operation. As the pandemic is not over yet, the program will be expanded until the end of the year, with the availability of over R$5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\t\u201cDue to the success of the initiative, and considering the extent of the pandemic and the economic impacts for micro, small and medium-sized companies, the Bank will provide another R$ 5 billion for new loans on the line, which will be extended from September 30 to December 31, 2020 \u201d, informed the bank.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe BNDES informs that the main economic sector covered by the loan line was trade and services, which acquired 79.7% of resources, followed by the manufacturing industry (19.5%). Agribusiness had 0.7% of resources and the extractive industry, 0.1%.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe objective of Small Business Credit in this second stage will be the same, according to the bank. &quot;Offer resources for the free use of companies, in a simple and agile way, through partner financial agents (credit cooperatives and commercial banks, public or private)&quot;. Currently, BNDES has 31 partner agents operating in the states. The bank has a channel for information on micro and small companies that can be checked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bndes.gov.br\/wps\/portal\/site\/home\/financiamento\/canal-mpme\">on here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\tCompanies with an annual turnover of up to R$ 300 million may apply for financing. The amount released is up to R$ 70 million per year, with a grace period of up to 24 months and a payment period of up to 60 months.
