\u2022 The fourth chapter of the Panorama of Work in Brazil series shows that only 19.31% of professionals consider themselves prepared to deal with AI in the workplace;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u2022 More than half of professionals (57.8%) rate the advances of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace in a neutral way;<\/i><\/p>\n

\u2022 Among those who view AI positively, 58.21% associate the technology with increased productivity and efficiency.<\/i><\/p>\n

Only 19.31% of Brazilian professionals say they feel prepared to use Artificial Intelligence in the workplace. This is revealed in the fourth chapter of the Panorama of Work in Brazil series, a mapping carried out by Serasa Experian, the first and largest datatech company in the country, and helps explain why, despite technological advances, most professionals still perceive themselves as being in the adaptation phase. Generation Z feels the most prepared to deal with AI at work (22.81%). Meanwhile, 60.51% of professionals say they are only partially prepared, highlighting a scenario of transition in the use of technology in the professional environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Fernanda Guglielmi, Human Resources Manager at Serasa Experian, Generation Z's greater affinity with technology is related to the context in which these professionals developed. \u201cGeneration Z doesn't perceive technology as an external tool, but as part of the environment in which they grew up. Artificial Intelligence isn't 'new' to these professionals because they developed by interacting with intelligent systems and see technology as an extension of their own creativity, not as something to be learned or feared. It's crucial that HR managers and leaders understand this context because it directly impacts productivity, engagement, talent attraction, learning, ethics, and the competitiveness of companies,\u2018 she states.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perceptions about the use of Artificial Intelligence at work<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the level of preparedness, the survey analyzed how professionals evaluate the advances of Artificial Intelligence in the corporate environment. More than half of those interviewed (57.8%) stated that they have a neutral perception of the use of technology at work, while 32.7% evaluated it positively and 9.5% negatively.<\/p>\n

Among the generations, Generation X professionals have the most positive perception of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace (35.2%), followed by Millennials (33.8%), Baby Boomers (29.4%), and Generation Z (26.3%). Despite being the generation that feels most prepared to use the technology, Generation Z also demonstrates the lowest positive perception of its impacts. However, across all age groups, a neutral assessment of the use of Artificial Intelligence in the professional environment predominates.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that most professionals evaluate Artificial Intelligence in a neutral way shows that the market is still in a phase of observation and adaptation. People are testing, understanding, and waiting for clearer guidelines on how the technology will be incorporated into work in a responsible and sustainable way,\u201d he explains.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Positive perception is linked to practical gains.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Among professionals who view Artificial Intelligence positively, 58.21% associate the technology with increased productivity and efficiency, a percentage identical to those who highlight the reduction of repetitive tasks. Furthermore, 36.11% state that AI can free up more time for creative and strategic activities, while 26.31% see the technology as an opportunity to expand career and learning possibilities. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen AI contributes to real gains, such as increased productivity, efficiency, and a reduction in repetitive tasks, it begins to be viewed more positively. This shows that the way technology is integrated into work makes all the difference in enabling people to extract value from these tools,\u201d he concludes.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the Panorama of Labor in Brazil series<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Panorama of Work in Brazil series brings together thematic chapters based on surveys conducted by Serasa Experian to analyze different aspects of the relationship between professionals and companies in the country. The survey that makes up this chapter was conducted between November and December 2025 with 1,521 economically active professionals or those seeking employment, from different generations and regions of Brazil.
