\tSao Paulo, June 1, 2019<\/strong> - Sanctioned in 2005, the "Lei do Bem" (Law 11.196) has the mission of promoting tax incentives for companies to invest in research and development of new technologies. Enterprises from different sectors can use this incentive, as long as they are taxed by the real profit, have tax profit in the base year of use and current Debt Negative Certificates. Within market competitiveness, this law allows companies to gain more highlights in the areas of research.<\/p>\n

\tEspecially during a pandemic, this law gains importance among the instruments to stimulate companies, especially for those who wish to invest in research on technological innovations. "The Lei do Bem brought opportunity and concessions in tax incentives so that enterprises can carry out research and develop new technologies. The growth of a nation needs investment in research, development and technology", comments Dr. Manoel dos Santos, legal director of ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Lei do Bem presents itself as an important instrument support to companies in reducing the impacts of the pandemic: an alternative for reducing tax costs, maintaining the area of innovation and jobs.
