The GT leadership is under the command of two specialists from the Prado Vidigal Advogados law firm, an ABES associate. They are:\u00a0Luis F. Prado<\/b>, Master in Digital Law and Information Society from the University of Barcelona, and\u00a0Paulo Vidigal<\/b>, postgraduate in Electronic Law (EPD) and Civil Procedural Law (PUC-SP). Both are certified professionals in AI and Data Protection by\u00a0International Association of Privacy Professionals<\/i>\u00a0(CIPP\/E, AIGP, FIP).<\/p>\n
The Working Group is committed to maintaining ABES as a qualified interlocutor, promoting continuous dialogue with the authorities and offering practical input so that its members can sustainably adapt to the new legislation.<\/p>\n

Among the objectives of the working group is the close monitoring of the regulation and implementation of the law, monitoring and engaging in dialogue with bodies such as...\u00a0ANPD (National Data Protection Agency)<\/b>\u00a0it's the\u00a0Ministry of Justice<\/b>. One of the critical points is the regulatory decree, currently being drafted by the Executive Branch. The goal is to ensure that the sub-legal regulations take into account the operational realities of companies, especially startups and SMEs, which may face difficulties if the regulations are not balanced.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Working Group exists so that the sector can be an active part of the solution, and not merely a passive recipient of obligations. ABES brings together approximately 2,000 companies, responsible for roughly 801% of the revenue of the software and services sector in Brazil. With the law scheduled to come into effect in March 2026 and increased enforcement expected in 2027, ABES views the extension of the ANPD's deadline to February 2026 with caution. According to the organization, the current situation calls for careful consideration.\u201cWe want the implementation to work in practice. For this, clear rules and proportionality are essential. It is necessary to protect children and adolescents without excluding or hindering technological solutions.
