Forescout and CLM sign distribution agreement to strengthen network security and interoperability in NAC solutions
Forescout, one of the global leaders in cybersecurity, recognized as one of the largest in the world in visibility and control of network devices, joins the portfolio of CLM, a Latin American value-added distributor focused on information security, protection data, cloud and infrastructure for data centers.
According to Forescout, its objective is to diversify its partnerships and, thus, strengthen its presence in the country. The company also wants to improve its relationship with its base channels and increase competitiveness.
The CLM has 40 Brazilian channels mapped to immediately support business development with Forescout. CLM will develop a training program for empower hundreds of other channels whose profile and market suit Forescout’s solutions.
“We hope to be able to grow the ecosystem of partners trained in Forescout solutions generating demands with strategic communication actions, focused on promoting a robust solution and quality services to end customers”, explains Bruno Okubo, Forescout product manager at CLM.
Latent demands
Forescout solutions continuously identify and classify each type of asset connected to the network – IT, OT, IoT and IoMT, managed, unmanaged or susceptible – and enables the automated application of appropriate security and compliance measures to mitigate risk. According to Bruno Okubo, the partnership integrates into the company's portfolio a manufacturer that offers an agnostic NAC (Network Access Control) solution (compatible with Arista, Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, among others), that is, with the ability to manage the customer's assets, regardless of the equipment supplier in the installed fleet.
“Until this agreement with Forescout, CLM did not have a NAC supplier with full interoperability in its portfolio. This is one of the main difficulties the market faces. It is common for a customer to have part of the network equipment from manufacturer A, another part from B. Often, they can even have a certain visibility using the NAC solution of one or the other, but are not able to fully manage the equipment, deployment of policies and configurations. Forescout meets this demand with a robust solution, centralized and scalable management, recognized as a leading solution in the Frost Radar for Global Network Access Control 2023”, comments Okubo.
Device intelligence
With a global presence (more than 30 countries and offices in Europe, Asia and the USA), Forescout has, over the last 20 years, built a unique strength in device intelligence and network technology for discovering and classifying these assets.
The threat intelligence data that Forescout analyzes comes from the millions of connected devices it monitors, which provide billions of data points on device configuration and network behaviors. Your database contains over 19 million monitored devices and 39 billion unique data points.
The data also comes from attacks that the company observes and dissects and from other sources that Forescout monitors. For this reason, its solutions and resources help detect advanced threats, which may have been ignored by security controls, allowing you to respond in real time, comprehensively and completely.
In addition, your solution performs evaluation and correction, classification automatic and in real time, comes ready for efficient use in IoT, IoMT and OT, with multiple forms of integration into the infrastructure (802.1x, Snmp, Tap, Netflow, etc.), single licensing for diverse integrations, with tools already existing on the network and ease of implantation. To give you an idea, 30% of the 100 largest companies in the world use Forescout and 20% of the 2,000 largest publicly traded companies in the USA also use it.
Another difference is the Vedere Labs, the cybersecurity research arm of Forescout, whose team of global experts focuses on increasing visibility into threats and vulnerabilities across all types of connected assets and providing steps for mitigation. Its ecosystem, an “adversary engagement environment,” includes real and simulated, geographically dispersed devices, networks, and organizations to attract attackers and generate intelligence.

“Forescout arrives to provide visibility to assets, continuous and real-time monitoring, a centralized, scalable platform with flexible implementation and the possibility of integration with other customer solutions, such as SIEM, enriching the information base for better decision making, significantly reducing incident detection and response time”, concludes Okubo.
