From February 11 to 13, 2025, the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center in Brasília hosted an important meeting for new mayors from all over Brazil. Bringing together thousands of participants, including municipal leaders, vice mayors, secretaries and technicians, the event was attended by President Lula, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and Minister Alexandre Padilha. Also present were the presidents of the Senate, Senator Davi Alcolumbre, and of the Chamber of Deputies, Deputy Hugo Motta.

Rodolfo Fücher, Chairman of the ABES Board, actively participated as a representative of the Brazilian Association of Software Companies and the Council for Sustainable Economic and Social Development (CDESS). During the panel “Cooperation for Digital Public Management: Innovative and Sustainable”, the possibilities of collaboration between government and the private sector to accelerate digital transformation in municipalities were discussed. The roundtable, which also included the Mayor of Amargosa, Getúlio Sampaio, and Alexandre Amorim, President of Serpro, was moderated by Roberto Pojo, Secretary of Management and Innovation of the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI).

Rodolfo presented the Brazil Digital Plan 2030+ and highlighted the guidelines for advancing digitalization in the country. The focus is on expanding technological infrastructure, digital inclusion, modernizing public management, and strengthening cybersecurity. In addition, the plan proposes public policies to encourage innovation, education, and digital training for the population.

“It was a privilege to contribute to these discussions and reinforce the importance of a collaborative digital ecosystem for a more digital and less unequal Brazil,” said Rodolfo Fücher in a statement.

ABES has become even closer to the world of municipal public management through the “Smart Cities” business vertical, which aims to contribute to the implementation of digital government and the improvement of the provision of public services to the Brazilian population.
