The international expansion is a reflection of the successful strategy to disrupt the chatbot market in Brazil and the fact that the Mexican market has great opportunities for growth in messaging channels.

“We studied the commerce and behavior of Mexico and we understand that this market manages to surpass even Brazil when we talk about penetration of Mobile Commerce in online commerce. According to Americas Market Intelligence analysis, the e-commerce market in Mexico is expected to reach US$114.1 billion by 2025 and the data shows a digitally active population in the country, with 91.5% using smartphones. 

When it comes to the main messaging apps, WhatsApp stands out in Mexico and has great representation, as well as in Brazil. According to the study carried out by Take Blip, the expectation is that by 2028 WhatsApp will be used by more than 80% of the Mexican population that owns a smartphone. A growth of 11% compared to the year 2022. Instagram is expected to grow even faster. Between the years 2022 and 2028, the application is expected to increase the number of users by 60%.

The executive also reinforces that Mexico has favorable characteristics for doing business, such as the proximity of the border with the United States, free trade agreements with more than 40 countries and a large, young and qualified workforce. “Our goal for the coming years is for the Mexican operation to become a development and service hub for all of Latin America. We are prepared for rapid growth in Mexico”, points out the CEO of Take Blip.

To take care of the operation in Mexico, the company has just hired Diana González, a local executive with extensive experience in business development and with previous passages at companies such as Meta, Google and IBM. Born in Mexico, the professional takes over as Head of Business Development at Take Blip and will be responsible for leading the hiring of local employees, managing the commercial and technical teams, fostering strong relationships with strategic partners and identifying new business opportunities to fuel growth. and the expansion of Take Blip in the country.

Take Blip's international expansion plan has been in the works since the second half of 2022, when the company received a series B contribution of US$70 million from the North American fund Warburg Pincus. With a focus on serving mainly large companies in Mexico, Take Blip bets on segments in which it has already excelled in Brazil, such as Telecom, Finance, Health, Retail, Consumer Goods and Services. 

The company ended 2022 with more than R$ 650 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in Brazil, more than 1,800 employees and more than 24 billion messages passed through its chatbots. The forecast is that the operation in Mexico will disappear in the result this year, with the expectation of ending 2023 with more than 80 clients among the largest local companies.
