Expansion brings a new front of action for Squadra, with innovative solutions  for different verticals

THE SQUAD , a technology consultancy that supports the entire digital transformation journey of companies, announces the acquisition of Digicade, a company widely recognized for georeferencing solutions. With the agreement, SQUADRA now has georeferencing technologies in its portfolio for segments such as telecommunications, utilities, health, retail, industry, logistics and many others. The integration of the two companies aims to increase the digital potential of the clients served, stimulating experiences and positive results for the business. With the acquisition, the SQUADRA team, which already has more than 600 squads, receives over 60 new employees, a highly qualified team, in addition to geographic intelligence solutions. SQUADRA takes over 100% from Digicade's service front operation. The acquisition of Digicade is part of an accelerated growth strategy, which aims to take SQUADRA to revenue levels of R$ 1 billion over the next three years. Transaction amounts will not be disclosed.

“The acquisition of Digicade is part of our vision of inorganic growth, which focuses on bringing new skills or strengthening existing ones, to better exploit them and expand the performance and value of the solutions provided to the market”, says André Cioffi, CEO from SQUADRA. According to the executive, this M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) process reinforces SQUADRA's positioning as a consolidator of companies and technologies to generate more value for customers' digital transformation journey. “We continue with our M&A agenda, absorbing qualified teams, experiences, complementarity of specialties and revenue. We have targets for new acquisitions during the year. With the acquisition of Digicade, we are acquiring a strong competence in integrated geographic intelligence solutions, which will be valuable for several verticals that we serve, especially in an ultra-connected and distributed market, with increasing adoption of 5G and Internet of Things”, he says.

In addition to Digicade, SQUADRA simultaneously made an investment in Geosite, a SaaS product line that was developed by Digicade. Geosite will undergo a spin off, gaining its own structure, and will become part of SQUADRA's Venture Builder, created in 2019 to accelerate technology companies via investments and which already has six other companies: Wblio, Arkhi, Wings, GoBuyer, Digitalbot and GoToData. Another novelty that is also coming to Venture Builder's pool of accelerated companies is SQ Work, coworking spaces in Belo Horizonte, in the Estoril neighborhood, and in São Paulo, in the Chácara Santo Antônio neighborhood, which have the entire structure for renting individual stations or for complete teams. In Belo Horizonte, the four-story building has two spaces for events, a games room and meeting rooms.

Among Geosite's solutions, it is worth mentioning Geosite Telecom, which enables telecommunications operators and small internet providers (ISPs) to manage their entire fiber optic network. Through an intuitive and friendly interface, the Geosite Telecom platform provides complete management of assets, liabilities and infrastructure, enabling queries and analyzes that provide support for strategic decision-making regarding the maintenance or expansion of the fiber optic network.

Geosite Equipes de Campo is the ideal solution for demarcating places, managing people and activities that are carried out in the field, such as maintenance teams. The system allows the construction of updated routes according to traffic data and road conditions, receiving alerts when the perimeter demarcated by digital fences is extrapolated, among other functionalities, maintaining the entire service history. Through the solution, it is possible to manage external teams and create indoor maps, also helping to scale the number of professionals needed to handle incidents.

“We are very happy with the agreement closed with SQUADRA and we believe in accelerated growth provided by the offer of complementary services between the companies, in addition to guaranteeing new opportunities for Digicade employees”, says Carlos Henrique Scotellaro, CEO and partner of Digicade, who will lead the Geosite business together with the top echelon of SQUADRA. Rosaria Scotellaro, co-founder of Digicade and Geosite, will remain a partner at Geosite, but will no longer act directly in the operation. According to Carlos Henrique, geographic intelligence solutions contribute to decision-making in the most diverse segments by allowing the analysis of spatial information and the integration of diverse georeferenced data, which makes it possible to identify patterns, trends and relationships. “The solutions improve operational efficiency, risk management and productivity, in addition to allowing a more faithful projection of the investments required for operations”.
