The acquisition of TimeSeries expands the Xcelerator portfolio by developing industry-specific applications on the Mendix platform.

Siemens Digital Industries Software announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire TimeSeries, a leading independent software vendor (ISV) and partner in the Mendix platform. TimeSeries has in-depth knowledge of vertical application development built on the Mendix™ low-code platform, which will help Siemens accelerate its customers' digital transformation by increasing low-code adoption and delivering new applications including smart warehouse, maintenance predictive, energy management, remote inspections and others. The industry-leading Mendix low-code platform is the cloud foundation of Siemens' Xcelerator™ portfolio, which offers integrated software and services.

“Adding TimeSeries to Siemens solutions will help our customers and partners realize value with low-code even faster,” said Derek Roos, CEO and co-founder of Mendix. “We provide companies with cutting-edge digital capabilities to help them improve the way they do business and deliver rich, engaging experiences. The TimeSeries team has in-depth knowledge of developing SaaS solutions for a variety of industries, so I can't wait to welcome them to Siemens.”

“With the incorporation of OneSpin Solutions, we are now able to offer our customers industry-leading know-how, exceptional products and a comprehensive portfolio of automated formal applications for key use cases, including trust and security applications, protection, RISC-V and FPGA,” said Ravi Subramanian, Ph.D., senior vice president of CI Verification at Siemens Digital Industries Software. “The unique combination of Siemens formal products with OneSpin Solutions' domain knowledge, excellent application portfolio and 'apps first' mentality will enable Siemens to provide customers with more efficiency and confidence across the formal verification platform (simulation , emulation and prototyping), ensuring faster verification, automation and debugging.”

Through industry best practices and applications, reusable templates and components that use advanced technologies such as AI, intelligent process automation, multi-experience, next-generation UI design, multi-cloud and more, Siemens will be able to deliver better experiences to customers, employees and suppliers.

“Since acquiring Mendix in 2018, we've seen how this end-to-end low-code platform has transformed companies across all industries,” said Tony Hemmelgarn, president and CEO of Siemens Digital Industries Software. “The incorporation of TimeSeries into Siemens will significantly expand the development of new applications, with increased adoption of our low-code platform and expansion of the Xcelerator ecosystem.”
