Initiative will have six operators and seeks to boost the development of Santa Catarina startups

On the afternoon of Monday, December 9, Sebrae/SC launched the Sebrae Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) Program, an unprecedented initiative in Brazil that aims to invest in and accelerate startups with the financial support of large companies – Corporates.
The Program was structured based on an innovative model, in which CVC operators will act as co-investors and ostensive partners in Limited Partnerships (SCPs) created to facilitate investment in startups.
After a rigorous public bidding process conducted by a committee formed by experts from Sebrae/SC and Sebrae Nacional, the operators that will support the Program were selected. They are: Bossa Invest (SP and MG); MOA Ventures (SC) in Joint Venture with Dealist (SP) and Fundep (MG); Valetec Capital (SC and SP); and Ventiur Investimentos (RS).

The Program is aligned with Sebrae's national strategy to foster the innovation ecosystem
For Carlos Henrique Ramos Fonseca, CEO of Sebrae/SC, “the Program represents a milestone for the innovation ecosystem in Santa Catarina and Brazil, by combining the dynamism of startups with the support and expertise of large companies. With this, Sebrae/SC reaffirms its commitment to being a catalyst for growth for small businesses and a promoter of transformative initiatives in the Brazilian market,” he says.
The Program is aligned with Sebrae's national strategy of fostering the innovation ecosystem through strategic investments in startups, promoting connections between large companies and entrepreneurs.
From now on, Sebrae begins work to attract corporates that wish to invest in Startups, to then create SCPs and move forward with the process of investing and accelerating companies.
