The initiative aims to serve more than 10,000 young people across Brazil, with places primarily reserved for women, Black people, transgender people, transsexuals, and transvestites.

Petrobras, in partnership with the National Industrial Training Service (SENAI), launches a new branch of the program Autonomy and Income Petrobras is focused on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The vacancies are intended for young people aged 17 to 22, and women, black people, transgender people, transsexuals, and transvestites will be prioritized.
The program anticipates the participation of over 10,000 young people from all Brazilian states in the initial, online phase. Following this, professional training will be offered in person to up to 420 students, focusing on cities located in the states of Amapá, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Sergipe, and São Paulo. Students in the in-person training will receive a monthly stipend of R$$ 700.
“By launching this new branch of the Autonomy and Income program, we reaffirm our commitment to expanding access to quality vocational training, with a special focus on young people and historically excluded groups. Investing in training and inclusion is investing in transforming lives, generating new job opportunities, and strengthening the development of the communities where we operate. We believe that education is one of the main paths to promoting employability and autonomy, driving the construction of a fairer and more sustainable future for all,” emphasizes José Maria Rangel, Executive Manager of Social Responsibility at Petrobras.
“We are opening doors so that young people, especially those from historically excluded backgrounds, have free access to technology training and job opportunities. It is vocational education as an instrument for inclusion, income generation, and social transformation,” explains Carlos Braguini, Superintendent of Professional and Higher Education at SENAI.
The two phases of the initiative – online and in-person – are complementary, focusing on expanding access to technology training.
First phase – Digital Literacy (online and nationwide):
The initial phase begins on March 17th and will be conducted entirely online, reaching the entire country. This phase will include 10,000 young people who are expected to complete SENAI's free Digital Literacy course.
Digital literacy involves developing basic skills for the productive use of digital technologies. The course covers topics such as safe internet browsing, the use of digital tools, information organization, notions of digital citizenship, and an introduction to logic and computational thinking. The goal is to ensure that all participants have a common foundation of technological knowledge before embarking on more advanced training.
Second phase – On-site training in Full Stack Programming:
Following the completion of the Digital Literacy course, 420 in-person places will be offered for the professional training course in Full Stack Programming, scheduled to begin in April. To be eligible for these places, there are two prerequisites: completion of the Digital Literacy course and residence in the prioritized locations within the seven municipalities listed in the announcement.
The selection process for the in-person stage will be conducted through the platform. Hire me, which uses Artificial Intelligence for profile analysis. The selection considers criteria such as education level, place of residence, socioeconomic vulnerability status, and alignment with the professional profile required by the technology field.
Students selected for in-person training will receive a monthly stipend of R$ 700, transportation allowance, meals, and uniform. They will also have access to technical and pedagogical support, with the aim of reducing dropout rates and supporting their retention and performance throughout the course.
Young people who complete the Digital Literacy course but are not selected for the in-person phase will receive certification for the course they completed and will have access to a free online training program. The training includes other areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, computer networks, Artificial Intelligence, and mobile development.
Specialization and employability
Young people who complete the Full Stack training will be directed to specializations in the areas of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud and Low Code, according to the profile developed during the course, in addition to participating in job fairs and certifications with program partners.

SENAI's AI helps boost professional careers.
To support students and professionals in building career paths aligned with the demands of the job market, SENAI created the Nai, a free artificial intelligence platform for Career and Employability. Developed with Google Cloud AI technology, the tool analyzes users' professional profiles based on information such as resumes, academic history, and career goals, identifying skills, suggesting training, and pointing out areas with good employability.
The initiative is part of a partnership established in 2023 between SENAI, Social Service of Industry (SESI) and Google Cloud, with a five-year term, which provides for digital transformation actions in vocational education, higher education, and other services geared towards industry.
