Integration brings Google's most advanced generative AI models to OCI, accelerating the creation of AI agents in the enterprise environment
Oracle and Google Cloud announced last week the expansion of their partnership to bring Google's most advanced artificial intelligence models to enterprise customers, starting with Gemini 2.5, available at OCI Generative AI, an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) service.
This new feature will allow companies using Oracle to leverage the Gemini family's multimodal models to create AI agents capable of operating across a variety of fronts—from multimodal understanding and software development to workflow automation, productivity enhancement, search, and information retrieval.
Oracle also plans to make the full range of Gemini models available on OCI Generative AI, in integration with the Vertex AI. With this, customers will have access to state-of-the-art models for video, image, voice and music generation, as well as specialized solutions by sector, such as MedLM for the healthcare sector. In the future, Gemini models will also be available as an option within the Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, expanding the offering of artificial intelligence capabilities applied to finance, human resources, supply chain, sales, service, and marketing. Customers will also be able to use their existing Oracle universal credits to access Google models.
“Today, large companies across different industries are already using Gemini to bring AI agents to life in a wide variety of use cases,” he said. Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud. "Thanks to this partnership, Oracle customers will have direct access to our cutting-edge models in their own environments, accelerating the deployment of AI agents capable of supporting developers, optimizing data integration processes, and much more."
Google's Gemini models excel in the corporate environment for their ability to base responses on up-to-date information from the Google Search, its extensive context windows, robust data security and privacy policies, and advanced reasoning capabilities.
“At Oracle, we are committed to offering customers a portfolio of AI models specifically designed for the enterprise environment, balancing open and proprietary solutions,” he said. Clay Magouyrk, president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. "The addition of Gemini models to OCI Generative AI further strengthens our strategy of delivering powerful, secure, and cost-effective technology, helping organizations innovate and achieve their business goals."
Oracle has been bringing artificial intelligence closer to corporate data, focusing on security, adaptability, and scalability. This allows companies across all industries to apply AI technologies—including generative AI and intelligent agents—to relevant business scenarios, achieving immediate results. Today, thousands of organizations already use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources to run critical workloads with high performance. Instances bare metal with GPU, for example, they offer power for applications in generative AI, natural language processing, computer vision, and recommendation systems.
