Voting for the “Protagonist” category is open to the public until the 27th of August. Winners will be announced on September 16, during the ABES Conference program
The Brazil Movement, Digital Country promotes the Embaixador e Protagonista Brasil, Digital Country Award to recognize people who are contributing to the construction of a More Digital and Less Desigual Brazil throughout the year. The awards ceremony will take place during the programming of the last day of the ABES Conference, on September 16, starting at 3 pm.
With annual periodicity, the award is divided into two categories. The first of them, “Ambassador Brasil, País Digital”, will nominate people who have stood out in projects that promote digital and inclusive transformation in Brazil in 2021, selected by a committee.
The category “Protagonist Brazil, Digital Country” is decided by public vote. It includes people from the government, private sector organizations, academia or the third sector who stood out during the year through their projects, actions or contributions to social impact initiatives.
The vote of "Protagonist Brazil, Digital Country" is open until the 27th of August, through the website https://brasilpaisdigital.com.br/premio, which provides a summary of the biographies and the reason for the nominations. The list of nominees consists of:

“The list of nominees brings incredible professionals who are leading and positively impacting the dynamics of Brazil's digital transformation, encouraging inclusion, entrepreneurship, citizenship and the digital economy,” explains Andriei Gutierrez, Co-founder of Brazil, País Digital. “We want to give more visibility to those people who inspire, who dedicate their talent and energy to innovation initiatives in the digital field and who seek to democratize the benefits of digitization. It is also a way of thanking them for their efforts and motivating more people to follow these positive examples”, complements Fabio Rua, also Co-founder of the movement.
Results will be announced at the ABES Conference
The awards will be conducted in flashes during the ABES Conference program, which starts at 3pm on September 16th. The names of those chosen by the public will be announced live at 6 pm. The transmission will be completely online and, to follow, the public must subscribe, free of charge, in www.abesdigital.org.br. The entire event will be translated into pounds.
The ABES Conference takes place between September 14th, 15th and 16th and will bring together renowned experts to address the need to acquire digital resilience; to review regulations and laws; from empowering and retraining the workforce to surf in a world where large-scale automation is inevitable and new skills are needed.
