Training is aimed at women who want to improve their skills on the GitHub platform; in addition to the online sessions, the program includes the MS Conexão event, which will be held at the Microsoft office in São Paulo on May 29
Microsoft has opened registration for the 2nd edition of the program GitHub4Women, a training initiative aimed at cis and trans women who want to improve their skills on the GitHub platform. The program is part of a course platform launched by WoMakersCode in 2021, with support from Microsoft and other companies, called More Women in Tech. Registration is open until April 6th via the link aka.ms/GitHub4Women and online classes will start on April 7th.
In total, there will be 25 hours of content divided into five weeks of live classes and broadcast on the WomakersCode channel on Youtube. Registered participants will have access to content focused on the GitHub Foundation certification, with topics ranging from an introduction to Git and GitHub to project management and cybersecurity. The 100 students with the best performance in the final assessment will receive a voucher for the GitHub Foundation certification.
In addition to the vouchers, the selected students will have the opportunity to participate in an event at Microsoft's office in São Paulo, which will be held in conjunction with the company's Human Resources department and technology managers. The event will be held on May 29 and will allow participants to learn about Microsoft's work environment, interact with managers from different areas and explore career opportunities within the company.
To participate in the GitHub4Women training program and compete for vouchers, you must register, attend all classes and complete the exercises made available at the end of each session on the platform. At the end of the five weeks, you will be able to take the final assessment through the same website.
