Ingram Micro, a Brazilian subsidiary of one of the leading global distributors of IT solutions and services, announces the appointment of Guilherme Barreiro as the new director of the BRLink business unit, Brazil's leading managed services provider (MSP). “I am honored to be part of such a talented team and to be able to contribute with my experience in the sector”, says the executive. “BRLink has been developing incredible work in recent years. I want to continue Rafael Marangoni's great legacy and collaborate even more with the company's strategic objectives. Among them, offering our partners all the technological adaptations and knowledge necessary for them to be successful in their cloud computing and digital transformation projects”, he said. In addition to BRLink, Guilherme also fully assumes the entire Services offering unit at Ingram Micro Brasil.

Barreiro is a graduate in information systems and has specialization in digital leadership and advice, in addition to being co-founder of Escola da Nuvem. The executive, who arrives at BRLink, has more than 20 years of experience in the IT market and great expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity and technological solutions for clients from the most diverse segments. Throughout his career, he worked for companies such as T-Systems, IBM, Locaweb and Nextios.

The new director takes over the position left by Rafael Marangoni, founder of BRLink and who now assumes a strategic position within Ingram Micro's global cloud area. As Global Executive Director of Cloud Services, Marangoni will work directly from Ingram Micro's headquarters in California (USA) and will aim to optimize the company's growth, adding value to customers and partners.

“When I had the opportunity to create Nextios, an MSP company that is part of Locaweb, today LWSA, I connected with several businesspeople and executives in the sector, and from these connections came many exchanges, many learnings and even social projects such as Escola da Nuvem. But beyond that, I got to know and admire Rafael and the work he did at BRLink and I was certainly very inspired. Being able to now be on this side and leading this business unit within Ingram Micro, in addition to filling me with pride, also makes me very excited, as I see the potential that there is in BRLink within this huge ecosystem that Ingram Micro today leads worldwide”, says Barreiro.

Flavio Moraes Jr., VP & Brazil Chief Executive of Ingram Micro, states that the new director has always been at the forefront of businesses focused on technology services and is excited about his arrival at the company. “Guilherme is a recognized professional in the market and has experience and success in leading service units and knows how to masterfully explore acquisition processes. Therefore, it is the most appropriate name to lead the BRLink business unit in its next steps”, he informed. “We are sure that Barreiro has all the necessary credentials and boldness to continue expanding our leadership in the cloud market, living up to Marangoni’s legacy.”

Ingram Micro acquired BRLink in 2021 with the aim of strengthening its strategy of enabling and complementing partners' capabilities and accelerating the company's entry into a growing cloud market. For more information about BRLink, visit the official site from the company.
