Called Orange Juice, it is aimed at those interested in IT and has podcasts, lives and content for greater interaction with the tech community
Technology is increasingly present in the lives of Brazilians and the importance of technological solutions only increased with the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. As a result, more and more people are interested in the subject and are looking for ways to stay on top of news in the sector. The increasing number of vacancies to work in the area is also indicative of an increasingly technological world. According to a survey by the National Bank of Employment (BNE), in the first quarter of this year there was an increase of almost 20% in IT vacancies compared to the same period in 2020.
It was with this in mind that the FCamara Group – consultancy for technological solutions and digital transformation – created the Orange Juice community, aimed at those interested in meeting and interacting with technology specialists, in order to improve technical knowledge and exchange information. It emerged from the desire to train and empower these people in order to create a community that interacts with each other. The initiative also aims to create a leadership training model with its own speech and implement a sharing culture to prepare leaders for the future of the IT market.
The project is open to the entire public and proposes to integrate the sharing culture, value learning, contribute to the delivery performance and result in an increase in the team's performance. To put it into practice, it is necessary to reinforce how important knowledge is, invest in resources and time so that the company can carry out side projects, help people take risks in new ideas, not punishing them for taking risks, and also offer channels for people to share their knowledge, whether through lectures, courses or online events. Finally, encourage study, offer resources so that they can learn about and explore new technologies and materials.
“We have a very strong DNA of transmitting knowledge to people and of not leaving all the learning that we acquire on a daily basis within the company. We created Orange Juice to enable anyone interested to know a little about the IT market and be able to participate in discussions and initiatives that address these themes”, says Fabio Camara, CEO of Grupo FCamara.
For Joel Backschat, CTO of FCamara Group, the main objective of Orange Juice is to bring new talents and people into the company. "Teams will hardly be formed only by seniors and, due to the turnover of professionals in the market, it is necessary to always be prepared and have an active succession plan, which embraces new people within this cycle and is always focused on training and looking inside of this community”, explains the executive.
The community has a weekly podcast, Orange Juice Cast, which brings guests from the areas of technology and digital transformation, page on Instagram and also community on Twitch and Discord, with weekly lives and talks covering different topics: programming languages, frameworks and other areas within technology, such as UX Design, Scrum and Quality Assurance. In addition, it covers topics on business, communication, methodologies, philosophies and much more. Orange Juice also contemplates the Training Program, which for five years has been a selective process aimed at those who want to start a career in technology, without having any previous experience or training in the area.
“We see with a strategic eye that Orange Juice is the format of the sharing culture, a culture that we believe is fundamental for the personal and professional development of people who seek knowledge and want to share it. This is done through meetings, exchange of experiences, confidence to dialogue, training and spaces for new ideas”, concludes Backschat.
