Free program prepares young people and adults in socially vulnerable situations for careers in technology, with AWS certification and connection to job openings in the sector
The Cloud School, a civil society organization (CSO) that operates as a regenerative ecosystem accelerating the development of individuals and businesses through technological education, has opened a new registration cycle for the AWS Cloud Fundamentals + AI course. The free, online, and live program is aimed at individuals over 18 in socially vulnerable situations, with a high school diploma, who want to take their first steps in technology. The goal is to expand access to quality training and prepare new talent for the demands of the job market.
More than just technical training, the Escola da Nuvem journey connects graduates with real job opportunities at partner companies and offers support for up to one year after hiring to support adaptation and career growth.
According to the institution, the areas with the most openings currently are Software Development (23%), Technical Support (15%), Cloud Engineering (11%), DevOps (10%), and Infrastructure Analysis (10%). The course covers everything from basic IT concepts, networking, storage, Linux, Python, and AWS services to the fundamentals of AI and Machine Learning, using tools such as AWS Bedrock, Textract, Comprehend, Polly, and Lex. In addition to the technical content, students participate in mentoring and hands-on labs, and develop professional skills such as communication, teamwork, and interview preparation, strengthening their market entry journey.
Classes are offered online and in-person, with a 15-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. To participate, you must meet the eligibility criteria and achieve at least 80% in the math, logic, and reading sections of the selection process.
The launch of the new cycle comes at a challenging time for young people in the job market. According to IBGE data, unemployment among people aged 18 to 24 reached 14.9% in the first quarter of 2025, more than double the national average of 7%.
For Ana Letícia Lucca, CRO at Escola da Nuvem, the initiative represents a boost for those who want to build a long-term career in technology. "Each new class represents the beginning of many transformative journeys. Our role is to bridge the gap between the desire to evolve and the opportunities the market offers. We believe that technology can be for everyone, and that's why we've created an accessible and free path that takes students from training to landing their first job. More than just training professionals, we want each person to discover their potential and see themselves as protagonists of a more inclusive and innovative future," she states.
The impact is already visible: Escola da Nuvem has trained 6,298 professionals, employed 4,186 students, has the support of more than 600 partner companies, and mobilizes a community of 1,628 volunteers registered throughout the program.
