The course is offered through the Univesp Opportunity Now 2025 Program and aims to reach people over 18 years of age who have completed high school.
Registration is now open for the free course "AWS re/Start 2 + AI Development," offered by Escola da Nuvem through the Oportunidade Já 2025 Program of the Virtual University of the State of São Paulo (Univesp). This program aims to prepare people for a career in cloud computing and then connect them with job openings. Anyone who has worked in technology but is unemployed, or who is unfamiliar with the field but is underemployed and would like an opportunity, is invited to apply. Applicants must be over 18, have completed high school, and have a computer and internet access. This recurring initiative will remain open until June 2026, along with other projects within the Program: https://apps.univesp.br/oportunidade-ja/.
Anyone who signs up to specifically take the classes offered by Escola da Nuvem (https://inscricao.escoladanuvem.org/dados-pessoais/passo-1) will learn introductory cloud computing concepts, as well as information on the main AWS cloud services, such as infrastructure, components, operations, automation, management, and governance, with the aim of empowering people to work specifically with the Amazon Web Services cloud. Classes are live, valuing practice and applying concepts to real-world situations.
In addition to technical content, students have the opportunity to develop communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, and collaboration skills, as well as receive guidance on how to prepare for a job interview. The artificial intelligence-focused content includes skills in implementing, designing, and developing Generative AI solutions.
After completing the course, graduates will be invited to participate in Escola da Nuvem's Employability Journey, where they will receive up to two years of career-building support. Ana Letícia Lucca, CRO at Escola da Nuvem, explains her satisfaction in continuing the NGO's work. "I'm very grateful for this new partnership. We want to show that working with technology is possible for everyone, regardless of age or current occupation. All it takes is an opportunity to get started, and it's here."
Partnership was established through a public notice
The partnership between Escola da Nuvem and Univesp, which made the course possible, was carried out through a public call for applications. Candidates registered for the 2025 UNIVESP entrance exam will be invited to learn about the opportunities via email. Among the criteria evaluated for selection were the institution's reputation, the course's educational objectives, the content and teaching methodology, as well as the resources and support offered. Escola da Nuvem is a civil society organization founded in 2020 by Rafael Marangoni and Flávio Rescia Dias, technology executives. Learn more: https://escoladanuvem.org/.
