According to Alura specialist, search for learning programs grew 76% in 2022 in companies looking to innovate and develop careers
In recent years, the constant digitalization in the Brazilian market has led several brands to invest in learning solutions for their employees. Indeed, this is a tendency that can be observed in a survey of the Alura for Business, ecosystem people development solution alura, whose data indicate a growth of 76% in the search for programs in this category in 2022.
According to Adriano Almeida, co-founder and COO of Alura itself, the demand is due to the application of new technologies in the daily lives of companies. “We started to work more with the virtual and interact with technological tools. With this, betting on learning within the institutional environment makes room for the optimization of various activities and functions, making the development of digital skills (Digital Skills) become the differential to be achieved by companies in 2023”, he explains.
In the last year alone, for example, more than 29,500 people sought to deepen their knowledge in Excel. The course “Excel: master the spreadsheet editor”, was the most sought after by companies in 2022, ahead of courses such as “Git and Github: control and share your code” and “Functions with Excel: mathematical operations and filters”.
The executive also points out that training teams in the tech environment is important for solving complex problems, whether in SMEs or large corporations. “Today, virtually every area of a company needs to learn about data. In this way, knowledge in Power Bi, Machine Learning, Data Science, Front-end, Back-end, among other technological solutions, allows for strategic action, with greater innovation and assertiveness on the part of the brands”, he says.
In addition to making personalized decisions, another advantage of internal development is the retention of talent, a fundamental characteristic in an overheated market such as technology. No wonder, companies that do not offer corporate education opportunities generally face greater difficulties with the employer brand and the high turnover, as McKinsey & Company research reveals; figures indicate that lack of career advancement and development was among the top reasons people left their jobs between 2021 and 2022 (41%).
Within this context, the main person responsible for Alura Para Empresas emphasizes that an organization that uses Training and Development (T&D) solutions addresses the problem observed in the survey, both in relation to new team members and more experienced ones. “Immersing yourself in the digital universe favors those who are already in the business and beginners, since the company can train the most experienced for leadership positions and save hiring costs, or train a qualified workforce internally, creating a real investment for long-term business”, he concludes.
