During the panel Brazil 2030: A leading role on the global technological boardAt the ABES Summit 2025, experts discussed how Brazil can assume a leadership role in the new digital and green order. With a clean energy matrix and strategic geopolitical position, the country has the potential to become a neutral innovation hub, attracting investments in artificial intelligence, data centers, and renewable energy. Moderated by Andriei Gutierrez, president of ABES, the panel highlighted the importance of consistent public policies, talent development, and the continuity of programs like Redata to ensure competitiveness.
Camila Ramos, CEO of CELA, noted that the data center sector contracted the most long-term energy contracts in 2024, demonstrating its growth. She warned of the risk of regulatory changes and defended the continuity of Redata: "We are facing a unique opportunity, but we need to ensure regulatory stability and adequate infrastructure."
Ricardo Sennes of Prospectiva reinforced that Brazil already has critical mass and public instruments, but lacks strategic coordination. "The sector needs a structured advocacy strategy that aligns with the national strategy," he added.
According to Igor Nazareth of EMBRAPII, the country has robust industrial resources and policies, with significant investments in innovation: "What we need now is to accelerate this agenda and ensure that Brazil takes advantage of this moment to gain competitiveness."
