The Magic xpi integration platform connects customer requests with TOTVS Protheus to automate the sales process and eliminate manual work

THE Benassi, one of the main importers and distributors of fruits, vegetables and greens (FLV) in Latin America, serves the largest food chains and supermarkets in the retail and wholesale sectors in Brazil, with a turnover of more than 15 thousand national and imported items sold annually. Its job is to shorten the distances between producers and end consumers through logistics equipped with the most advanced technologies.

For retailers and wholesalers, the company also offers consulting services, including importing, readjusting the product mix and custom projects, which may include outsourcing or shared management at points of sale, and may be responsible for supply, replacement and checkout at the point of sale, freeing up the store owner for other business tasks.

Sales orders made by customers are made by sending forms with personalized fields for each customer, involving a variety of information about the classification, variety and specificity of each fruit, vegetable and green.

Benassi's purchase orders with its suppliers are made through the Benassi App (CDs), with the Magic xpi integration platform, from Magic Software, supporting Foliage orders (leaves) that are delivered directly to the customer/store in an integrated 100% format.

Data import in both cases is performed by Magic xpi through a web interface in the B2B environment or via email, with a scan of the order subject so that the order is sent to the TOTVS ERP.

As the products are perishable, Benassi needs to guarantee the quality of information throughout its operation, 24 hours a day, involving top-of-the-line data collectors and tablets that follow industry safety standards.

“The FLV production and distribution chain involves the separation and delivery of products, inventory control, cold storage and refrigerated fleet, a task that requires a lot of attention from everyone involved. The quality of order data is part of this complex scenario”, explains Pedro Santos, Technology Manager.

According to Santos, before Magic xpi, data collection took a long time because it involved non-automated work, and errors were common. A lot of data is considered, such as the business rules of each client, based on each CNPJ of the retail or wholesale networks, in addition to the financial part, such as payment terms, discounts applied, etc. With all these rules incorporated, Magic xpi delivers invaluable value to our operation.”

According to the technology manager, this integration project provides more intelligence, scalability and operational performance for Benassi. “The processes are more agile throughout their life cycles,” he concludes.
