A virtual event on March 11 will bring together leaders to present projects that combine circular economy, internet infrastructure, and technical training in the world's largest rainforest.

The digital transformation of the Amazon has ceased to be merely a connectivity goal and has become a central pillar of sustainability and social justice. With the aim of presenting practical solutions to this challenge, the... ABES (Brazilian Association of Software Companies) promotes, on the next day March 11th, at 8:30 AM, a live “"Connected Amazon"Digital inclusion, social innovation, and territorial development.”.

The meeting aims to connect businesses, government, and civil society around initiatives that are already transforming the local reality. More than just providing internet access, the focus is on creating an ecosystem that generates income and skills development for traditional and urban communities in the region.

Projects that transform the territory

During the event, two high-impact initiatives that serve as models for sustainable development will be detailed:

  • A More Digital and Less Unequal Amazon: a strategic partnership between REURBI, ABES and the Ministry of the Environment. The project uses the concepts of the circular economy to give new life to donated electronic equipment, transforming what would be technological waste into tools for professional development.
  • Amazon Network +Connected: led by Group +UNIDOS, This project focuses on physical infrastructure and human capital. In addition to implementing internet networks in remote areas, the initiative offers thousands of hours of training in entrepreneurship and technical skills development.

The event will be an opportunity for companies to understand how they can integrate these collaborative networks, aligning their goals with... ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) to real and measurable results.

The discussion will address the logistical bottlenecks in the region, but mainly the victories achieved through the joint effort between the private sector, the Third Sector, and the Government.
