The program is geared towards beginners and professionals in career transition Those who wish to enter the development field with a solid technical foundation and a verifiable portfolio. In total, the bootcamp brings together 27 courses, 6 hands-on projects, 1 coding challenge, and 5 live mentoring sessions., guiding participants through the entire back-end development journey.

The learning path runs from Fundamentals of Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) until the construction of REST APIs using Spring Boot, covering essential topics such as Collections and Stream API, data persistence with SQL, GoF design patterns, and integration with relational databases.. The bootcamp does not require prior Java experience, as the fundamentals are taught progressively throughout the modules.

Software quality from the start.

One of the program's main distinguishing features is... two final modules dedicated to Software Quality. Instead of treating testing as the sole responsibility of QA analysts, the bootcamp presents quality as a natural part of the development routine.

During this stage, participants learn to plan and execute manual functional tests and also to develop Automated unit testing using JUnit, a framework widely used in the Java ecosystem to validate methods and classes in a structured way.

The goal is to train professionals capable of deliver functional, reliable, and tested code, aligned with the best software engineering practices adopted by technology companies in real-world projects.

Portfolio with real projects

Throughout the program, participants develop a incremental portfolio consisting of six practical projects, including:

  • contribution to project open source on GitHub
  • application modeling with object-oriented programming
  • development of a Sudoku game in Java
  • creation of a task board with relational database
  • application of design patterns using Spring
  • final project of Manual testing simulating the QA routine.

All projects are delivered with repository on GitHub and technical documentation, allowing students to present concrete evidence of their progress and mastery of the technologies they have learned.

Direct connection to the market

The bootcamp will also include five live mentoring sessions Led by technical experts and professionals from Almaviva Solutions, the meetings will cover topics such as:

  • Good Java development practices in the market.
  • Quality culture in software projects
  • automated testing with JUnit
  • career in technology and opportunities at the company

Upon completion of the program, participants receive certificate of completion and have their profiles highlighted on the platform DIO's Talent Match, which connects talented individuals trained in technology with companies seeking qualified professionals.

“At Almaviva Solutions, we believe that investing in the training of new talent is essential to strengthening the technology ecosystem in the country. This bootcamp was structured to prepare professionals with a complete vision of modern development, where quality, best practices, and innovation go hand in hand from the beginning of their careers,” highlights Antonio Carlos Schaal, Director of Services at Almaviva Solutions.

For Iglá Generoso, CEO and Co-Founder of DIO, Initiatives like this help to reduce the talent gap in the technology field.

“We believe that programs like this one, in partnership with Almaviva Solutions, help develop professionals prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly transforming technology market. This is a unique opportunity for those who want to specialize in Java back-end with a real vision of software quality,” says the executive.
