Microsoft 365 and Teams are some applications that have an electronic signature option with the Adobe service

Adobe and Microsoft have been working for years to integrate technologies and optimize their own solutions. One of the most recent is the incorporation of Adobe Sign, an electronic signature flow management service, with Microsoft applications. The objective is to offer more productivity, security and savings in corporate processes, such as signing contracts and sensitive documents.

With the integration, Microsoft 365 enterprise customers will be able to send and monitor the electronic signature of documents via applications such as Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and Word, among others.

“In Outlook, for example, it will be possible to start the instant process of signing documents by email, by clicking on send for signature in the Outlook taskbar”, explains the senior channel manager of Adobe Sign in Brazil, Eduardo Jordão. “With Adobe Sign, teams still have the ease of managing the digital flow of signatures from anywhere.”

In Microsoft Teams, the participants of a given virtual meeting have the possibility to sign a document in real time, making the closing of negotiations and agreements more practical and faster.

The executive also points out that the entire integration and storage has the security that only Adobe and Microsoft can offer, since the files can be saved in Microsoft's cloud, Microsoft Azure.

With the digitization of the electronic signature flow performed by Adobe Sign, Microsoft customers will also have the ability to monitor and track all signatures and events that occur on a document, such as receiving, viewing and others. “The electronic signature service has three fundamental pillars in a digital document flow: demonstrating the identity of the signers, the intention to sign the document and ensuring the integrity of the document during and after finalization. All this recorded in an audit report that is also protected and certified”, says Jordão.

Digital X paper

The “Total Impact Economy” study carried out by Forrester Consulting points out that the digitalization of the subscription flow reduces the contract cycle time in companies by 96%, compared to paper contracts, from an average of seven days to just two hours.

The research also compares the costs of paper and digital document flows, including “invisible” ones, such as carriers, mail, notary offices and prints. The result is that electronic signature services generate savings for companies of an average of $6 per subscription flows. A company that has about 100,000 subscription transactions, for example, can save approximately $600,000.

Finally, Jordão also points out that there is a reduction in the risk of loss and damage to contracts. “With secure tools like Adobe's, which can still be integrated with Microsoft's, the chances of losing or altering documents without leaving a digital trail are much smaller”, he concludes.
