The SMB market leads the demand for technology in both regions, with retail and healthcare standing out; cybersecurity with AI is consolidating as a priority among Adistec's partners.

Adistec, a global distributor of technology solutions, has been expanding its operations in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil, where the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market, comprised of companies with 50 to 200 employees, represents the largest share of technological demand. The current scenario is driven primarily by the retail and healthcare sectors, which continue to expand with the opening of new stores, clinics, and health plan operators. “We have seen a growing maturity of local businesses regarding data protection and performance. Today, cybersecurity using AI is already a central topic in negotiations between our partners and their clients,” says André Cavalcanti, Channel Account Manager North/Northeast at Adistec.

According to the executive, vulnerability analysis, observability, backup, and data protection solutions are among the most demanded by channels in the region, with a focus on technologies from partners such as Veritas, Veeam, Tenable, Ridge Security, Forcepoint, Elastic, Delinea, HCL, and Thales. "The cybersecurity portfolio has surpassed that of traditional infrastructure, which has ceased to be an end in itself and has become a means to ensure a greater purpose: secure data circulating on intelligent and resilient networks," he adds.

Among the main challenges faced by local companies are cyberattacks, data organization and protection, and the need to adopt AI solutions tailored to the reality of each business segment. Furthermore, Cavalcanti points out that many resellers and integrators still struggle with cash flow difficulties, especially in contracts with the public sector, which require installments and longer payment terms.

With a focus on innovation, Adistec is betting on the growth potential of solutions geared towards the IoT and OT industries, especially from manufacturers such as Zscaler, Nozomi, SolarWinds, and Elastic. "With increased investment in technical training and marketing, these technologies can scale rapidly, as they have a direct impact on automation, security, and the reduction of operational costs," the executive emphasizes.

Proximity to the channels is also a priority. Initiatives such as the Adistec Tech Tour, which recently visited Recife (PE) and Fortaleza (CE), reinforce Adistec's commitment to supporting its partners and strengthening the regional ecosystem. “The Tech Tour has been a game-changer in our approach to the channels. This face-to-face exchange is essential for us to practically demonstrate the potential of our solutions and understand local demands directly and effectively,” says Cavalcanti.

With a base formed mainly by integrators, data centers, and solution providers, the North and Northeast regions are consolidating themselves as hubs of digital innovation. "These partners are fundamental to local economic development, bringing technology to industries, retail chains, hospitals, and public agencies. Each project we support has a direct impact on the competitiveness and efficiency of the region," concludes the executive.
