With transmission powered by Akamai's Adaptive Media Delivery, the tire marketplace increases the volume of accesses and the security of its platform by 495%
PneuStore, the largest tire e-commerce in Brazil, belonging to the CantuStore holding company, the country's largest tire distributor and importer, boosted the performance of its IT infrastructure on its sales platform with Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions from Akamai, provider of CDN and cloud security services. The project, which was completed in the first half of 2022, was implemented and supported by Add Value, an integrator specializing in cloud technologies, hyperconvergence, networking, security and virtualization.
With social isolation during the pandemic, the volume of accesses on the platform tripled, as well as a significant growth in the number of active users. In this scenario, PneuStore's IT team needed a solution to meet the growing number of visitors to its e-commerce.
“The solution we were using no longer met our critical growth demands and made it difficult to adopt initiatives mobile first. Mainly after the pandemic, we had a fast growth and we started to monitor any slowness that could affect the experience of e-commerce visitors and invest in application servers”, reveals Julierme Arrais, CTO of CantuStore.

“Today we managed to optimize our SEO, we reduced the outages to zero, we reduced the latency in 189 % and we increased our volume of organic hits per hour by 350% and mainly the conversion, thanks to a more attractive user experience, in addition to making our environment very safe, since it also monitors DDoS-type attack attempts, which can affect the use of the site”, stresses Arrais.
