ABES SUMMIT 2025

The panel "AI First Companies: Reinventing Careers and Skills" brings together experts to discuss the impacts of autonomous artificial intelligence on professions, productivity, and business models.

The Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) will hold the 15th edition of the ABES Summit 2025 on October 8th at the JW Marriott in São Paulo, with the central theme "Digital Frontiers: Geopolitics, Technology, and Sustainability." The program's panel, "AI First Companies: Reinventing Careers and Skills," will discuss the advancement of so-called agentic AI—artificial intelligence systems capable of acting autonomously—and its impact on the reorganization of the world of work.

According to the Brazilian Software Market Study – Panorama and Trends 2025, produced by ABES in partnership with IDC, IT investments in Brazil reached nearly US$59 billion in 2024, with a projected growth of US$9.51 billion in 2025, above the global average. This growth is supported by an industry that employs over 260,000 professionals and generates US$103 billion in annual revenue. The arrival of agentic AI, however, ushers in a new era: more than automation, it's the ability of intelligent agents to execute end-to-end decisions, transforming traditional roles and creating new professions.

"We are facing a structural change. Agentic AI redefines careers, demands new skills, and repositions entire companies within their value chains. This movement opens up opportunities for Brazil to stand out, but it also poses risks if we don't advance policies on innovation, fair taxation, and talent development," says Andriei Gutierrez, President of ABES.

Impacts of Agentic AI on Careers and Skills

The panel AI First Companies: Reinventing Careers and Skills will be dedicated to analyzing the concrete impacts of agentic artificial intelligence on the labor market and business management. The evolution of autonomous AI systems requires new approaches to professional qualifications, job reconfiguration, and data-centric and automation-driven business models. The debate aims to provide insights for companies, policymakers, and professionals to understand how to align technological innovation, productivity, and human development.

The debate will bring together leading voices in innovation and talent management, with complementary perspectives on how AI is shaping the future of work:

  • Paulo Moraes – Co-founder of Talenses Group and Director of LANDtech, a leader in talent management strategies and digital skills transformation.
  • Camila Achutti – CEO of Mastertech, entrepreneur and educator recognized for democratizing access to technology, training new generations for the digital market.
  • Professor Anderson Soares – General Manager of the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (CEIA), at the Federal University of Goiás, and Brazilian representative in the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI)

"Adopting AI-First models requires professionals and companies to rethink skills, organizational structures, and even work culture. The debate at the ABES Summit will be a milestone in understanding the paths of this transformation," adds Andriei Gutierrez.
