The Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) is participating, for the second consecutive year, in the Brazilian mission led by ApexBrasil at the Web Summit Lisbon 2025, one of the largest innovation and technology events in Europe. The organization is part of the national delegation composed of nearly 400 startups and innovative companies, also coordinated by Sebrae. The event ended on November 13th. The organization was represented by its president, Andriei Gutierrez, and by the consultant Daniel Annenberg.
Several activities take place in Brazil Pavilion, This space, located within the MEO Arena, focuses on key institutional and commercial visibility initiatives for Brazilian startups. The environment hosts panels, pitch sessions, mentoring sessions, and business meetings aimed at generating strategic partnerships and promoting Brazil's image as a global leader in innovation, creativity, and sustainability.
On November 11th, following the official opening of the Brazil Pavilion, Andriei Gutierrez led the presentation of data from the “Brazilian Software Market Study: Overview and Trends 2025,” prepared by ABES in partnership with IDC. The presentation highlighted the sector's growth, challenges, and market opportunities for Brazilian technology companies.
“Our study reveals a booming sector with great potential for global impact, especially in areas such as artificial intelligence and digital security. Participating in the Web Summit is a unique opportunity to show the world the strength and diversity of the Brazilian software and innovation ecosystem. We thank ApexBrasil for the networking opportunity and for supporting the internationalization of ICT companies,” said Andriei Gutierrez.
The diversity of the Brazilian delegation is one of the highlights of the mission: companies from all regions of the country are represented, with 30% of them led by women. The program was intense during the 4 days of Web Summit Lisbon 2025, with pitches, seminars and networking activities that reinforce Brazil's role as a global leader in digital transformation.
