On October 21st and 22nd, the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) held the International Seminar "The Future of Public Auditing" in Brasília, bringing together national and international experts to discuss the future of oversight and control in the public sector. The Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) was one of the event's institutional supporters, reinforcing its commitment to integrity, transparency, and innovation in public management. The association was represented by Thômaz Côrte Real (Legal Coordinator), Marcelo Almeida (Director of Government Relations), and Jeovani Salomão (Advisor).

During the event, Thômaz gave a brief institutional presentation highlighting the "An Ethical Company" program, the certification issuance service, and other activities of the association that align with the values promoted by the TCU, such as anti-corruption, efficiency, accountability, and integrity. The presentation was accompanied by Fábio Granja, a senior auditor at the TCU. The goal is to generate new opportunities for integration and dialogue between ABES and the Federal Court of Auditors.

The "The Future of Public Auditing" seminar featured a selection of 27 technical papers for lecture presentations across four spaces at the Serzedelo Corrêa Institute: the Auditorium, the Plenarinho (Little Room), Lab1+Lab2, and the Amphitheater. Another 46 papers were displayed as posters in Jabuticabeiras Square, creating a conducive environment for networking and the exchange of ideas.

With free registration, the event has established itself as a showcase for best practices and innovative solutions for public auditing, fostering dialogue between institutions, civil society, and the private sector. ABES's participation reinforces the importance of multisectoral collaboration in building a more ethical, digital, and less unequal state.
