Bringing solutions to make Brazilian cities more developed, intelligent and connected has been the purpose of the Connected Smart Cities & Mobility platform since 2015. In the seventh edition, the initiative is established as the main platform specialized in the smart cities and urban mobility market in Brazil , acting fundamentally in initiatives that contribute to improving people's quality of life. ABES reinforces the partnership and institutional support in the dissemination of themes and in stimulating the debate on smart cities.

The 2021 edition of the event will take place between September 1st and 3rd and brings even more innovation compared to previous editions, such as the hybrid format, with face-to-face actions: forum, exhibition of companies that provide technologies for cities, rounds of connections and business, among other activities that will be held at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in São Paulo / SP, as well as the transmission in digital format, allowing the participation of speakers from all over Brazil. The first 5 regional events are confirmed for:

  • 02/23 - Salvador / BA
  • 02/03 - Vitória / ES
  • 09/03 - Belém / PA
  • 03/16 - Campo Grande / MS
  • 03/23 - Curitiba / PR

“The 2021 edition of Connected Smart Cities & Mobility it is special and was designed to surprise and connect our audience, through our greatest asset: the contents made available. We have defined a robust agenda that will begin in February 2021 with the regional post-election municipal events 2020, starting next February and covering all states in the country, totaling 26 cities. We will also have pre-events called “CSCM Connection Points” and broadcast live in different locations in the city of São Paulo, in July and August ”, highlights Paula Faria, CEO of Necta and creator of Connected Smart Cities & Mobility.

"Regarding the format of the edition, it is important to note that the presentation of the result of the Ranking Connected Smart Cities 2021 and Plenary will be in person format and with live transmission (online form) for the whole of Brazil", he said.

One of the initiatives promoted by the event's organizers was the launch of the Columnists section on the Connected Smart Cities Portal, which aims to promote the agenda of cities and mobility, through the contribution of the various actors involved with the ecosystem. Jamile Sabatini Marques, Director of Innovation at ABES, is one of the confirmed columnists.

This support is in line with ABES 'purpose of contributing to the construction of a Digital Brazil and Less Unequal, with a more ethical, dynamic, sustainable and competitive business environment globally.
