O program good hackers announced the opening of 25 thousand new vacancies Free courses in cybersecurity training are being offered for the year 2026. This strategic initiative is promoted by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and implemented by the National Education and Research Network (RNP). The main objective is to democratize access to professional qualification and mitigate the critical talent shortage in the field of information security.
The expansion of job openings responds to an urgent market demand. Reports indicate a global deficit of 4.8 million professionals in the sector. In Brazil, data from Fortinet shows that the country needs approximately 750,000 specialists, while the ISC² organization estimates a shortage of 140,000 professionals for this year alone.
The program is 100% free and accessible: candidates who are currently enrolled in or have already completed high school can apply, with no age limit or prior knowledge requirement. Applications are made exclusively through the official website. The vacancies are for the following modules: Leveling and Basic. The Leveling course (80 hours) provides a foundation in hardware, networks, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and programming logic. The Basic course (64 hours) delves deeper into cloud computing, cryptography, vulnerability identification, and the fundamentals of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
Since its launch in January 2024, Hackers do Bem has certified over 38,000 students. The project also stands out for its encouragement of diversity, rewarding female technical excellence in a market where women occupy only 221% of the positions. In addition to theoretical training, the program offers... Technological Residency, a six-month practical immersion phase with a monthly stipend of R$ 3,000. At the end, participants join the Hub Hackers for Good, which connects new talent with companies and job opportunities.
