The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) launched public consultation focused on finding technological solutions that improve the monitoring and management of its employees' health data.
The goal is to structure an intelligent platform that allows for the integrated organization, auditing, and interpretation of epidemiological data, strengthening the proactive management of occupational health.
BNDES has a significant dataset on the use of its health plan, totaling more than nine million observations. The information comes from the BNDES Social Assistance and Pension Foundation (Fapes), the operator responsible for the employees' health care plans.
This volume of data provides a valuable basis for the development of corporate epidemiological control practices, capable of anticipating trends, identifying risks, and promoting preventive actions aimed at collective well-being.
The new approach seeks to guide more effective care policies, combining quality of life with the sustainable use of healthcare resources. Mapping can also help identify and reduce any operational inconsistencies or waste.
After the mapping and market consultation phase, the process will continue through Public Procurement for Innovative Solutions (CPSI), an instrument provided for in the legal framework for startups that allows the acquisition process to be directed towards concrete results and unprecedented solutions.
“With more robust information, BNDES intends to align cost control with the promotion of comprehensive care, ensuring more assertive investments in employee health and preventing high future costs,” reinforced the institution's Director of People, IT and Operations, Helena Tenório.
