An event promoted by the Brazilian Association of Software Companies will bring together public and private leaders, as well as experts, in a strategic dialogue on regulation, technological innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainability and Brazil's competitive insertion in the international market.
ABES – Brazilian Association of Software Companies, whose purpose is to build a more digital and less unequal Brazil, is promoting the ABES Summit 2025 next week. The 15th edition of the event, which will take place on October 8th at the JW Marriott, in São Paulo, has confirmed the presence of Gilberto Kassab, Secretary of Government and Institutional Relations of the State of São Paulo, and Felício Ramuth, Vice-Governor of the State of São Paulo, and has as its central theme “Digital Frontiers: Geopolitics, Technology and Sustainability”, reflecting the Association's commitment to guiding the country's strategic agenda in the technology sector.
"The ABES Summit is more than just a meeting: it's a strategic forum for us to reflect and chart the paths that will allow Brazil to take center stage in the global digital landscape. We live in a unique moment, in which technology, sustainability, and geopolitics are inextricably intertwined. Our commitment is to transform this convergence into responsible innovation, economic development, and, above all, concrete opportunities to reduce inequalities," emphasizes Andriei Gutierrez, President of ABES.
Over more than three decades of operation, ABES has established itself as the leading representative body for the software and digital services industry, actively contributing to the sector's development and playing a leading role in regulatory debates in Brazil. The Summit is the ultimate expression of this role, bringing together the diverse actors who build the innovation ecosystem and strengthen the country's position on the global stage.
Programming prioritizes topics that are at the heart of digital transformations
According to the Brazilian Software Market Study 2025, conducted by ABES in partnership with IDC, the Brazilian IT market generated US$1.5 billion in 2024, maintaining the country's position as the world's tenth-largest IT economy and accounting for US$3.51 billion in technology investments in Latin America. The sector is expected to grow by 9.51 billion in 2025, above the global average of 8.91 billion in 2025. These figures demonstrate not only Brazil's strength on the global stage but also the urgency of discussing the direction of innovation in an increasingly complex regulatory and geopolitical environment.
It is in this context that the ABES Summit 2025 brings together experts to discuss the main axes of transformation:
- Regulation of Artificial Intelligence and Agentic AI – ethical dilemmas, data governance and impacts on competitiveness;
- Geopolitics in the Digital Age – New Alliances, Sanctions, and Resilience Strategies in a Hyperconnected World;
- The new global balance – the convergence between sustainability, green investments and digital governance;
- Brazil 2030 as a technology hub – opportunities in semiconductors, AI, data centers and clean energy;
- Cybersecurity beyond the firewall – public and private digital resilience strategies;
- AI First Companies – Redefining careers and skills in the face of automation.
- The post-AI software industry – new monetization models and AI-orchestrated software;
- Global technology regulation – impact of international regulatory frameworks and their effects on competitiveness;
