During Google's main technology and innovation event in the country, Google for Brazil 2025, held this Tuesday (10) in São Paulo, Google's global vice president of search engineering, Bruno Possas, presented the partnership with Abrasel as one of the company's main success stories in the world. The collaboration, which integrates Google into the Abrasel Connection, promises to directly impact more than 200,000 Brazilian bars and restaurants by the end of the year.
The initiative, announced a year ago, aims to expand the digital presence of foodservice establishments by updating and optimizing their Google profiles, including menus, opening hours, photos and links for ordering and reservations. Google's technology, combined with Abrasel's reach, will allow small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to have easy access to visibility and customer conversion tools.
In a recent interview with B&R Magazine, Julie Farago, Google's engineering director, said the partnership with Abrasel is strategic: “We are excited to help bars and restaurants convert their data into results. When people search for places to eat, they want to see menus, photos, reviews and take actions such as booking or ordering delivery. Abrasel helps us reach those who need these solutions most.”
In addition to technological integration, the partnership includes in-person and online training to enable entrepreneurs to make better use of their company profile on Google. Artificial intelligence will also be used to facilitate the process of digitizing menus, allowing a simple photo to be automatically transformed into a complete and updated menu.
Registering your establishment and editing your business profile on Google can now be done within Abrasel Connection. The new version of the platform, with integration with Google, was launched this month and focuses on increasing productivity in businesses in the sector.
For Abrasel’s president, Paulo Solmucci, the partnership represents a milestone: “We are facing a concrete digital transformation, which places the small entrepreneur at the center of innovation. Visibility on Google is now a decisive factor for the success of a restaurant. With this partnership, we democratize access to this global showcase.”
