The company adopted Copilot and, with the use of generative AI, optimized processes and boosted team productivity by reducing the time spent on repetitive activities
Localiza&Co, one of the leading companies in the mobility sector in Latin America, implemented Copilot to boost the productivity and efficiency of its employees, as part of one of the company's Artificial Intelligence innovation fronts. The adoption of the generative artificial intelligence tool allowed an average reduction of 8.3 hours per month per employee in repetitive tasks, reaching up to 19 hours per month between heavy-users, people who use technology more frequently.
Since the entire company uses Microsoft 365, it made sense to implement Copilot to boost employee performance. For André Petenussi, CTO of Localiza&Co, this adoption reinforces the company's commitment to innovation and operational excellence. “It has been a game-changer in the way our teams handle daily tasks. Technology allows us to not only save time, but also focus on strategic activities that drive innovation within the company,” he says.
In addition to optimizing workflows, technology has also been an ally in the inclusion of employees with hearing impairments, providing live transcriptions of meetings and automatic summaries, which ensures more active participation from the entire team.
Ligia Soares, Corporate Management Analyst at Localiza&Co, emphasizes the importance of participating in meetings more effectively and the importance of using the tool in her daily routine: “Today, I can free up mental space to focus on what really adds value to my work. With technology, I can find files more easily, organize my deadlines and commitments, and better monitor my demands. During meetings, I can actively participate, knowing that the tool will generate a summary of the main points discussed. In addition, I speed up research, write drafts of documents in Word and presentations in PowerPoint, and quickly correct errors in Power BI and Power Automate. In my daily routine, I also adjust the tone of my messages for different situations,” she comments.
Wilson Lima, Technology Manager at Localiza&Co, responsible for two areas within the company, shares his experience: “I manage two different areas at Localiza and this requires great organization and agility in decision-making. AI has been essential in optimizing my time, allowing me to quickly create and edit documents and presentations, in addition to helping me organize meetings, even when I can't be there. With it, I can extract relevant information, generate summaries and monitor discussions more efficiently. In addition, the tool facilitates data analysis in Excel and formatting presentations in PowerPoint, making my day-to-day more productive and strategic”, he highlights.
“When we think about customer service, agility is a crucial point in the consumer experience. Localiza&Co is applying the power of AI to offer its employees more resources to execute business demands and save time on repetitive tasks. With this, this time can be reversed in benefits for its customers and in the optimization and productivity of its teams”, highlights Joana Moura, vice president for Corporate Clients at Microsoft Brazil.
The company also plans to expand the use of Copilot to other areas and tools, including pilots focused on Microsoft Power BI and Copilot Studio, with the aim of continuing to increase productivity and efficiency gains. With this initiative, Localiza&Co reaffirms its commitment to digital transformation, using cutting-edge technologies to improve its internal processes and offer high-quality service to its customers.
