In the context of Women's Month, ABES invited executives who hold leadership positions in companies in the Information Technology sector to share their experiences and reflections on the importance of the date and the role of women in the area. Three prominent professionals shared their stories and visions for the future.

Leadership and the power to question the status quo

With a vision focused on creating opportunities, Edenize Maron, CEO of Rimini Street for Latin America, emphasizes the role of leadership in fostering change. “My main message is: trust your potential and don’t limit yourself to what the market imposes. Increase your knowledge, specialize, build a support network and, above all, don’t be afraid to challenge the status quo. Great transformations happen when we question old models and propose new solutions,” she says. She believes that Brazil has a natural talent for diversity, which can be a powerful lever to drive necessary changes in the occupation of leadership positions by women.

Gratitude and hope for a future without bias

Rose Ramos, CEO of Match IT, sees March 8th as a day of reflection and gratitude. “For me, March 8th is a day to fondly remember and thank so many warrior women who shaped me and continue to shape me with their life examples, every day,” she highlights. For Rose, it is essential that the future be more inclusive, where possibilities are not limited by gender or bias. Celebrating the leaders who pave the way is one way to achieve this change.

Education and inclusion for the future

Flavia Brito, CEO of Bidweb and ABES Advisor, emphasizes that International Women's Day is a milestone to recognize achievements and the fight for equality. "I want a future where women's presence in technology and in leadership positions is the norm, not the exception. Where women are at the center of innovation, building the digital future with their vision and talent. To achieve this, it is essential to invest in education, create effective inclusion policies and eliminate the structural barriers that still limit our growth", she highlights. In the commitment of her company, Bidweb, Flavia seeks to ensure that diversity and inclusion are solid pillars for the growth of the technology sector.

These leaders share a common vision: to create an environment where women have a voice and real opportunities. Their stories and insights are a powerful reminder of the impact that female leadership can have on building a more equitable and innovative future in the IT industry.
