 THE Trend Micro, a global cybersecurity leader, announced a new solution developed in collaboration with Nvidia to protect modern enterprise and government data centers using Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is one of several AI security solutions being demonstrated for the first time at COMPUTEX 2024, a fair held in Taipei (Taiwan), Asia, bringing together more than 1,000 exhibitors from 26 countries.

Trend Vision One™ Sovereign Private Cloud (SPC) integrates with NVIDIA NIM, part of the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform – a suite of easy-to-use inference microservices designed to accelerate the deployment of Generative AI in the cloud, data centers and workstations. The tools will run on Nvidia chips and will be able to detect intruders and ensure that data is only seen by those authorized to use it.

“Large companies recognize the importance of implementing Generative AI in diverse environments, including private clouds, and are developing strategies to add security to their AI applications. Trend Micro’s NVIDIA NIM integration highlights how companies can use Generative AI to make their customers’ environments more secure across a wide range of enterprise infrastructure,” said Pat Lee, vice president of Enterprise Strategic Partnerships at Nvidia.

Trend's solution meets the growing demand from organizations that want to take advantage of AI in their on-premises data centers to increase worker productivity and create innovative experiences. However, these investments in the area also represent a risk due to the expansion of the attack surface. “While many in the industry claim advances in AI security, we are showing business-critical use cases. The integration of NVIDIA NIM with our Vision One Sovereign and Private Cloud brings the power needed for this entire infrastructure shift as companies around the world are adopting Generative AI,” said Eva Chen, CEO of Trend Micro.

Trend's platform amplifies the power of security solutions by improving data privacy, real-time analysis and rapid threat mitigation. “This integration addresses the complexities of next-generation AI-driven Data Centers and offers highly efficient threat detection and response capabilities,” highlights Flávio Silva, Technology Director at Trend Micro Brazil. “This is because it avoids in-line traffic inspection, high CPU computing power consumption and latency, normally associated with processing large volumes of data, maximizing the efficiency of security and AI processes”, he adds.

Areas covered by the new partnership include:

– Enterprise Generative AI Protection: security solutions adapted for Generative AI systems, focusing on protecting AI models and data against sophisticated threats;

– Next-generation AI Data Center Security: Trend solutions provide end-to-end protection for AI data centers, from physical infrastructure to virtualized environments, helping organizations achieve high levels of security and compliance.

– Accelerating workforce productivity with AI: Explores preventing AI misuse and how AI can accelerate workforce productivity while maintaining a safe environment.

– Cybersecurity powered by AI: CISOs and security leaders harness the power of AI to strengthen defenses and mitigate threats. Trend Vision One uses AI to automate threat hunting, incident response and security analysis, providing actionable intelligence and enabling faster, more accurate decision-making.
