In addition to leading the Brazil team, the executive now supervises other countries in Latin America with the aim of promoting the growth of the Cloud area and expanding the impact of the business unit throughout the region

Ingram Micro announces the promotion of Carla Santos to the position of Cloud Latam Sales Director, expanding the executive's responsibilities and role within the company. “Over the last few years, Carla's leadership and extensive knowledge in the cloud area have been fundamental for Ingram Micro Brasil to achieve its objectives, driving the growth of the company's business in the country. We have full confidence that it will also do an excellent job in other Latin American countries together with our regional leaders and teams, who will now report indirectly to it”, says Luis Férez, global senior vice president and president of Ingram Micro's Latin subsidiaries. .

This is Carla's second professional advancement in the last two years. In 2021, the executive had already assumed the position of director of Cloud and Digital Solutions at the Brazilian unit, replacing Flávio Moraes, who, at the time, was appointed president of the distributor in the country – a position he continues to hold. In the new position, in order to integrate the Cloud strategy with Advanced Solutions throughout Latin America, Carla will remain leading the Cloud business unit in Brazil and reporting directly to Moraes, but, in parallel, she will report on operations in Latin America to Daniela Rosa, CCE Export Services at Ingram Micro in Latin America. “Carla will play a fundamental role in the growth of the cloud business unit in the region and continue to accelerate our transformation through collaboration and regional strategic alignment”, adds Férez.

Carla Santos began her professional career in 2006, as a Product specialist, and since 2011 she has been at Ingram Micro, where she joined as Product Manager. In 2013, she took on the challenge of being manager of the Software and Cloud business unit, developing the area until 2018, when she was promoted to director of Digital Solutions. Since 2021, she has been the director of Cloud and Digital Solutions in Brazil, a position that has earned her several market recognitions, such as two Women of the Channel 2023 awards, offered by The Channel Company CRN.

“We are working on a future-oriented cloud strategy for the entire region and I feel honored to share this challenge with such a talented and competent team. We will continue to reinforce Ingram Micro’s global commitment to the development, investment, innovation and constant growth of the ecosystem, offering the entire distribution channel new business opportunities and an extensive portfolio of solutions that complement partners’ efforts and growth plans” , says Carla Santos.

In almost 20 years of a successful career in the technology area, always close to the channel, Santos highlights the opportunity to learn, develop and form good professional relationships. Now, in addition to supervising the Brazil team, cloud leaders Antonio Velazquez (Mexico), Nicolas Santibañez (Chile), Luis Fernando Rumbos (Colombia), Kevin Aragonez (Peru) and Jose Menezes (Miami) will report indirectly to her, while reporting directly to the Country Chief Executives (CCEs) of each country of origin. “I hope to respond to the opportunity to represent Ingram Micro Latam and join a team of excellent professionals”, adds the new Latam director.

Currently, Ingram Micro has an extensive portfolio of Cloud and Digital Solutions solutions. The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, for example, is a scaled enabler for solutions such as Infrastructure, Data & AI, Analytics, Collaboration, Unified Communications, Platforms, Cyber Security, ERP and will continue to be one of the focuses of Santos' work in Latin America . Recently, Ingram Micro released a series of platform updates to help partners save time, provide more flexibility, and accelerate customer acquisition. The marketplace platform also allows the use of Marketing repositories, acceleration of scale via White Label, lead generation and billing in local currency.
