Sponsorship starts at the weekend at the London E-Prix, which closes the 2023 season
Trend Micro, world leader in cybersecurity solutions, is the new sponsor of the Neom McLaren Formula E team. Trend Micro will appear on the rear wing and halo of the cars.
“I am excited to welcome Trend Micro to our team. As we travel the world, we see the importance of cybersecurity. We are two brands with great synergy and we will explore ways to collaborate and keep our operations safe,” said Ian James, Director and Team Principal Neom McLaren.

Motor racing circuits are among the most sophisticated environments in global sport, but they are also susceptible to business risks exposed by cyber threats. Visibility into data across the entire ecosystem and the ability to quickly understand and use it is critical, especially in those with rigorous, time-sensitive operations and such as racing.
“Innovation, speed and sustainability are in the DNA of this Formula E team and Trend Micro,” said Dhanya Thakkar, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Sales, Trend Micro. “Neom McLaren is the perfect partnership for many reasons, including the fact that the races are held in the world's most iconic cities and the sport's huge fan base. We have common philosophies on plans to accelerate innovation in the industry while maintaining resilience against cyber threats,” he added.
The partnership with McLaren opens the door to future collaborations. Trend Micro has innovative initiatives specifically aimed at 21st security, as well as detecting vulnerabilities in cars with advanced artificial intelligence technologies. This underscores Trend Micro's dedication to securing the future of automotive technology not just for customers and racing, but for society as a whole.
