ABES is a member of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), a global organization that works to ensure a stable, safer and unified global internet.

From June 12th to 15th, Paulo Milliet Roque and Vanda Scartezini represented ABES at the 77th ICANN meeting in Washington (USA) and, among the discussions, discussed how to strengthen the security of the identity and integrity of the websites. The schedule includes technical sessions, technical presentation on Domain Name System (DNS), abuse mitigation and DNS security.

“ICANN is a global community of participants with different origins and points of view that help to connect the internet's unique identifiers, in addition to seeking consensus policies so that the internet works even better and in an inclusive way”, highlights Paulo Roque.

As a preview of the event, the ICANN Board released the ICANN Outlook Report, which provides an overview of the planned work and activities of the Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) during ICANN77.

Furthermore, we indicate chat between Paulo Roque, Daniel Fink and Nivaldo Cleto, directly from the USA, about what DNSSEC is and what it is for, which establishes a secure domain name system by adding cryptographic signatures to existing DNS records (website domain).
