Customers will be able to rent vehicles, including electric ones, directly through the platform

SAP revealed during the SAP Concur Fusion, an annual event held by the company, news in the SAP Concur solution, in which companies can automate, connect and simplify the processes of expenses and corporate travel. At the event, one of the main announcements was a new feature within the Concur Travel online booking tool, which will now allow car rental.
The first customers to benefit will be those whose travel managers connect to Concur using the Amadeus global distribution system. This improved experience will feature a more user-friendly interface, with content parity across mobile and desktop platforms. New features include intuitive delivery and collection of information, average car emission ratings, option to filter by electric vehicles, and improved accessory descriptions. From now on, customers will have the information they need to make economical, compatible and sustainable choices when renting a vehicle.
“SAP Concur's new features will make travel management even easier for our customers. With the day-to-day rush, being able to choose a vehicle directly from the platform, and that cost already going to our customers’ finances, will have an important impact on accountability and cost control”, says Denis Tassitano, vice president of SAP Concur Latin America.
On the platform, SAP Concur users will be able to see corporate rates and car rental expenses, as well as additional tools to control travel costs. Travel managers will benefit from the expanded content, with greater detail in controlling reservations made in SAP Concur Travel. Compliance improvements, such as access to vendors at off-airport locations, will help ensure that travelers choose the option most consistent with each company's policy.
The evolution of SAP Concur Travel will continue over time to include other global travel systems, other verticals, and additional content sources for hotels, flights, and trains. For example, an upcoming hotel booking experience — launching a pilot later in Q2 2023 — will introduce more options for delivering and curating content through personalized hotel providers. With richer images and improved filtering options, users will be able to easily find the property they want, with clearer pricing data.
