CPQD is launching the 3rd edition of Radar Conectase ao Novo, a comprehensive record, based on the opinions of Brazilian executives, academics and specialists, on technological trends selected as relevant in the country's current and future scenarios. The purpose of this CPQD initiative is to serve as a reference and guide for strategies for the development and implementation of new technologies in companies from different sectors.
“Digital transformation is at our doorstep, with all its challenges and gains, impacting current businesses and creating new opportunities. In this context, the Connect-to-New Radar brings important information to contribute to a clearer view of the Brazilian reality in relation to the adoption and impact of emerging technologies in various economic sectors”, says CPQD president Sebastião Sahão Júnior. “It is a very valuable information base for the entire Brazilian innovation ecosystem”, he adds.

Radar Connecte to the New 2023 presents an analysis of 20 selected technologies based on examples of international research and reports, in previous editions of the report, and also in CPQD's own experience. These technologies were grouped into four themes: Network and Connectivity, Artificial Intelligence, Trust, Privacy and Security, and Advanced Computing.
The survey, conducted in 2022, had the participation of customers, partners and various players in the innovation ecosystem with whom CPQD maintains relationships in the country. The vast majority of respondents hold executive positions (director, president, vice president, C-Level and managers) in companies from various sectors. Among the sectors represented in the survey, Information Technology, telecommunications, industry, agribusiness, academia and utilities stand out.
For each of the 20 selected technologies, the Connect-to-New Radar provides an assessment of its technological maturity (emerging, nascent, initial or conventional), the expected impact (low, medium, high or disruptive) and the deadline for its adoption (0 to 2 years, 3 to 5 years, or more than 5 years). The visual representation and segmentation of the research results by economic sector facilitate the analysis of scenarios and trends regarding new technologies. And, in each thematic block, CPQD specialists comment on the main highlights in the area.
In Network and Connectivity, for example, one of the highlights is 6G technology, which appears on Radar with expected availability in the medium term. Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) is another technology trend analyzed in the work. And, in Advanced Computing, the technologies of Quantum Computing and Immersive Experience – Metaverso, among others, stand out.
