With cloud solutions and email protection, the partnership has helped create protections against waves of spam, credential theft and phishing attacks
Hacker and cyber attacks are some of the main problems faced by small and large companies, bringing losses both financially and to the company's data protection policy. With that in mind and with a view to reinforcing the commitment to Internet security, the Compugraf, a provider of information security, data privacy and governance solutions for the main Brazilian companies, has been looking for new ways to increase the level of protection of its customers' collaboration and productivity systems. With this objective, the company joined forces with one of the reference institutions in cybersecurity in the country, generating a great optimization in the processes of the segment: the proofpoint.
The brand helps organizations around the world, including 75% of Fortune 100 corporations. With a set of integrated cloud-based solutions and email protection, the group's main focus is mainly on protecting team members. For this reason, actions are aimed at stopping targeted threats, preserving information and making users more resilient against cyberattacks.
According to Gabriel Gama, a product specialist focused on security strategies at Compugraf, with the partnership, employees began to take fewer risks in digital environments, as is the case with the company's own customers. “People are the most valuable assets within an organization, which is why they are targets related to cybersecurity, data loss and lack of compliance”, he explains. “Therefore, minimizing these dangers is essential for the advancement of the company as a whole”, he adds.
Also according to the executive, email and the cloud are the biggest vectors of cyber attacks today, in addition to social networks and the Web. Thus, working together with Proofpoint has helped create protections against waves of spam, credential theft and, mostly, phishing attacks (when criminals impersonate legitimate institutions to obtain personal data from victims), which, according to Kaspersky , has Brazil as the leader of occurrences in Latin America.
“The joining forces of the two companies allows us to be able to answer in real time who are the people most attacked by e-mail, what types of threats they are receiving and what is the impact on the organization if one of them clicks on something malicious ”, reinforces Gamma. “This is also an efficient way to educate users, generating an increasingly robust barrier against cyber attacks”, he concludes.
