These were the objectives of ONE Talks, an event promoted by Software One, in São Paulo, on December 7th. The presentations highlighted the importance of people management, cloud investments and information security.
Gabriela Camano
In the opinion of Gabriela Camano, ITAM Brasil Director at SoftwareOne, from the moment the pandemic led people to work from home, information security became a paramount issue. Therefore, companies need to focus on infrastructure, culture and people to avoid the risks of a hacker attack.
For the executive, there are some pillars that form the basis for digital evolution. “Automation is intrinsically associated with the possibility of generating better customer experiences. It is also important to focus on humanization, putting people at the center of everything and collaborating for the well-being of all of the teams”, he explained. Other fundamental pillars are accessibility, inclusion and the ESG agenda – sustainability, social responsibility and governance.
Douglas da Silva
Douglas da Silva, Leader of the area of large corporations (Enterprise) at AWS in Brazil, he reiterated the importance of putting people at the center of everything, a business strategy that has characterized Amazon's work since its foundation. He also spoke about the positive impacts that the cloud brings to companies and to the development of products and services, conveniently supported by technology. “The cloud makes incredible computing power available to companies of all sizes. Before, only companies with a lot of capital had access to the main technologies”, he emphasized. To advance in the use of these resources, however, it is essential to transform the corporate culture.
Rafael Carvalho
Another speaker at ONE Talks was Rafael Carvalho, Cloud Sales Executive at VMWare, who warned about the impact of ransomware on business continuity and stressed that companies still do not have effective strategies to react quickly to attacks.
The executive presented the differentials of VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery, a service provided in partnership with AWS, which allows you to protect data, minimize downtime and reduce the costs of disaster recovery processes. In addition to ransomware, which tops the list, other occurrences that most affect business continuity are power outages and natural disasters.
