Technology company bets on a Low-Code tool to support new features in its business management system that meet market demands and tax obligations

With a portfolio of around 2,000 companies using its business management system, Ommega Data, an Information Technology specialist focused on providing business management solutions, founded 30 years ago, needed to integrate into its ERP, called Odvix and available in the cloud, new resources to complement different processes carried out by its customers.

In order to carry out these developments quickly, ensuring a high standard of performance to update its tools according to market demands, Ommega Data bet on the same platform that it used to build its ERP, Low-Code GeneXus, which was supplied by BXT (Business Xtreme Technologies), GeneXus regional distributor.

“We chose GeneXus because it is a tool that promotes uncomplicated usability and has been on the market for over 30 years, which gives us confidence about its periodic updating with the main players and technologies required by the market. In addition, it is a tool that helped us build the newest product with more modern features and layout, Odvix”, adds Anderson Binotto, CEO of Ommega Data.

Among the new features that were integrated into Odvix are the Nuvemshop e-commerce platform, the Mercos sales force application and the Domínio accounting system. In addition, the ERP update also included the MDF-e (Electronic Tax Document Manifest), NFC-e (Electronic Consumer Invoice) and NFS-e (Electronic Service Invoice) features, which are aimed at service providers services and concentrates more than a thousand cities throughout Brazil.

For Odvix users, the direct benefits of these updates reside in time savings and information security, since the integrations make it possible for the inputted data, both in the ERP and in the partner systems, to be the same, which also eliminates rework. From the point of view of obligations, the ERP itself, through the digital certificate, makes the electronic signature of the document, communicates with Sefaz (Secretary of State for Finance) and prints or sends the invoice issued directly to the customer.

For Ricardo Recchi, country manager of GeneXus Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde, Digital Transformation is an unprecedented path that will increasingly demand new systemic demands from companies in different sectors. “For this reason, the use of Low-Code becomes essential to quickly meet the needs of corporations, who will be able to continue focusing on their business, while systemic resources project better operational and financial results”, concludes Recchi.
