SoftwareONE, a services company with local operations and global presence with solutions that help in the adoption of new technologies that impact digital evolution, software management, innovation, security, governance and cloud computing, has just won the Citizen Company Seal, a federal government program extending maternity leave for 60 days and paternity leave for 15 days, in addition to the four months for mothers and five days for fathers already guaranteed by the company. Joining the program is part of the company's corporate strategy to promote the personal and professional balance of its employees.
The Citizen Company program, instituted by Law nº 11,770/2008 and regulated by Decree nº 7,052/2009, allows deduction of Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ). However, SoftwareONE's HR Director, Eduardo Prazeres, states that the importance of joining the Seal, achieved this month, goes beyond tax issues and is much more aligned with the company's humanized management. “When the employee is happy, the customer is better served and is more satisfied, which brings much more expressive results to the company”, he says.
Prazeres also points out that with a governing body of 50% women, one of SoftwareONE's biggest concerns is the mothers' quality of life. “We understand, as a company, that four months is not enough time for a mother to return to her daily work. In this way, when the woman stays at home longer, the child is less sick and suffers less from this separation”, he explains.
According to 2018 Catho Professionals Survey, 30% of the women interviewed have already left the job market to take care of their children. As one of SoftwareONE's missions is to increase diversity, especially of women in the technology segment, the Empresa Cidadã Seal came to corroborate the company's objective. “This is one of our retention strategies for these women, in addition to all the concern for their mental health and support in their day-to-day life, such as reimbursement for daycare assistance and flexible hours, benefits that allow mothers to adapt their journey to have more time. with the children,” he explains.
Adherence to the program also attests to SoftwareONE's honesty and ethics, since, in order to participate, the company had to make an application to the Federal Revenue Service, which required technical and accounting requirements. For the executive, this is also a concern of employees, customers and partners, so that they can obtain a guarantee of the company's suitability. “In addition to the Citizen Company Program, we also have ISO 37,000, which deals with anti-bribery and anti-corruption actions, and ISO 9001, for quality management”.
