Together with Ada, the company offers 30 free scholarships and offers the opportunity to hire them at the end of the course.

The pandemic accelerated the process of digital transformation in Brazil, but there is still a shortage in the market. According to the study “ICT Talent Demand and STCEM Strategy”, carried out by the Association of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Digital Technologies Companies (Brasscom), there is an annual deficit of 106 thousand IT professionals.

With that in mind, Sinqia, a leader in software and innovation for the financial sector in Brazil, has open enrollment for the second edition of the #dev_makers, a program carried out in partnership with Ada, an edtech reference in programming, which aims to train a new generation of developers and stimulate the growth of the financial market through the use of technology. Registration is free and closes on September 12. Since the beginning of the program (25/08), #dev_makers already has more than 5 thousand subscribers.

The course program, which is 6 months long and includes 378 hours of classes, covers the teaching of languages such as Java and MySQL database. In all, 30 scholarships will be offered fully financed by Sinqia and, during the course, the student will have the possibility of being hired by the company without the need for previous experience in the area.

The selection process for training consists of five phases: logic test, submission of video presentation, group dynamics, interview with Sinqia and Coding Tank – a preparatory course in code to evaluate candidates -, which is the eliminatory stage of the process selective. Interested parties must be over 18 years of age, have completed high school and reside or be available to work in the hybrid model at one of Sinqia's offices in the cities of São Paulo, Belo Horizonte or Rio de Janeiro.

According to Fernanda Mello, Sinqia's HR Project Manager, the program wants to boost the development of technology for the financial market, connecting companies and people with the future. The partnership is extremely important, as it not only opens doors for people who are starting their careers, but can also be an opportunity for those looking to migrate to the technology segment. “We continue to follow our path of accelerating the financial market, and we understand that technology is responsible for the development of the segment. But, in addition to specialized labor, we are also helping people to improve their lives, and this is very gratifying”, points out Fernanda.

First edition of #dev_makers

The edition of was carried out in partnership with Ada – Let's Code and had a total of 5,751 subscribers across the country. “It was a very careful selection process, which included a logic test, video interview, group dynamics and an interview using tools to learn more about the candidates' hard skills and soft skills”, says Fernanda.

After the selection of 30 professionals, a training journey began for about 6 months, in which candidates were able to experience coding in theory and in practice. In the end, Sinqia hired 19 people for the Product Development, Fund and Banking areas.
